Half-Human and Half-Demon Nix De La Fuente works for the council of Preternaturals as the human liaison. Her human partner is Dante, a police officer. When the council feels she is moving too slow investigating recent supernatural murders, they call in back up in the form of her former vampire lover Tobias Caine. It has been five long years since Nix last saw Tobias but the passion still burns hotter than ever. Can they put aside their desire for each other to find the killer or will they be the next victims? Kiss of the Vampire is a mix between science fiction and the supernatural. It’s a great refreshing new take on urban fantasy. There were a lot of explanations that I felt could have been less, but overall it held my attention and kept me interested. The main characters Nix and Tobias seem to have a love/hate, then love relationship. The interactions between the two are what kept me really interested, and I can’t wait to see what Ms. Garner has coming up next!
