Sometimes, you just "know" when a book will be great, even before you read it. In this case, I was right. This debut novel by Regan Walsh is one of the best debuts I have ever read. She has written a truly incredible story and I hope there is more adventure in store for these characters. I feel like I already know them. And of course, I want to know what happens to them in the future. Regan Walsh has created an amazing Paranormal Romance Mystery. She does a phenomenal job of hiding the killer and never loses sight of anyone else in the story. There are so many great elements to this story and it never loses track. It flows as if you are literally watching the scenes unfold right in front of you. I also must add, her editor (whoever that may be) did a killer job. You won't find a ton of grammar and punctuation errors in this baby! This book truly rocks!! Whisper Cape has a long told folktale of its cliffs. It is said that you can stand on there edge and hear the dead whispering to you. Are they lost souls? Are they ghosts coming for another victim? Or is it simply just an old tale and nothing more than the water crashing against the shore? Addie is an amazing young woman who has been sheltered from a deep, dark secret her entire life. Now she is changing in unimaginable ways. Add that to her nightmares and you've got an explosion waiting to happen. This woman is hurt, mad and really wants to kick someone's butt. But no one wants to believe her father was murdered. She is a strong, smart, beautiful woman with incredible developing powers and she’s a kick ass heroine. But, she doesn't know it…Yet. She has all of these amazing things going for her, but she doesn't understand them. However, once she gets a grip on what is happening to her and her friends.....watch out. This woman is hell on heels! Cael literally falls into her life and in front of her truck. Then he disappears. He then saves her life twice before they even have a first date. Once Cael starts developing feelings for Addie, he shoves her away…Typical man. But that is the ONLY thing typical about Cael. He has amazing abilities; he is smart, funny and too die for HOT. And yes, he knows it. There is plenty of chemistry to set these two ablaze and then some! But will Cael be too wrapped up in "keeping Addie safe" to realize he needs her? Will this man hell bent on saving Addie's life lose the only love he has ever known? There is a murderer in town and someone has to stop him. The dead women all have a strange resemblance to Addie, but the crimes are not related. Is it really a serial killer? Or a coincidence? All that matters is protecting Addie, keeping her safe until her powers are stronger. Only she can defeat the evil presence in Whisper Cape. Every page keeps you on the edge of your seat. You get lots of action, more action, hot romantic scenes and more action. If you love mysteries, romance and paranormals...this book is for you. What more could you ask for? A strong female or five, super-hot male characters who love to protect their women, a family bond that is truly unlike any you have ever known and a mysterious journal and a crystal that everyone seems to want. Meet Addie, Cael and the others and join the hunt for the killer in Whisper Cape. Journey to Whisper Cape, but don't stand too close to the edge of the cliffs. I've heard it's dangerous.
