I liked the premise of the story - of Nathan meeting Bryant because his (Nathan's) apartment was broken into - and I liked that the two characters are so diverse in background (Nathan is an artist, Bryant a former Navy lieutenant). While I did like those two aspects of the story, I found Bryant to be, for me, too earnest for his confidence and Nathan almost too ready to ready to take a chance in spite of his
