Night Owl Book Review for The Crown

I couldn't get into this story, and perhaps it was because I didn't read the book before it. I wanted a lot more of Shadrael and Lea's life before they met each other. They were almost two-dimensional characters, Lea full of saccharine sweetness and light and Shadrael full of unreasoned darkness. Some more on how exactly Shadrael turned out the way he did, what led him down the road to darkness. Vord
