Sins of the Heart
One lord. One lady. One scandalous mistake. Can it all add up to love?
The icy Lord Edenstorm is the very man Lady Juliette hoped never to see again, for only he knows her true identity. One word from him to her brother and she will be locked away, hidden forever in an asylum. All for one foolish, scandalous mistake.
Still stinging from her deceitful betrayal years before and wounded by the horrors of war, Edenstorm offers to keep her secret, if she helps him catch the traitors who smuggle English gold to Napoleon.
Juliette is incensed. Her Cornish friends may be smugglers, but never traitors, and his snooping and accusations could destroy them. Furious at his blackmail, Juliette vows to risk her own life and freedom to protect the friends she trusts by leading his search astray.
But Edenstorm is not the unfeeling man she thought she knew. Nor is Juliette the faithless woman he believed her to be. As passion flares, deceit gives way to truth, and truth unleashes dangers they never suspected.
Only by turning truth into trust—and trust into love—can they hope to survive.
Product Warnings
This title contains scandalously unmentionable conduct, including unseemly romantic encounters on which doors ought to be closed, as well as shockingly lawless adventure, risks, perils and unruly emotions in which proper ladies and gentlemen ought not to engage, as well as extremely colorful language unsuitable for those of tender years and ears, along with occasional sights and smells which could be deemed offensive to the human senses.
Lady Wicked
When the Ton's most infamous rake, Thomas Steynes, Viscount Savoury, is forced to retreat to his ancient, abandoned, family manor to redeem his wasted life, he comes upon a woman being tormented by village boys. Rushing to the rescue, he discovers his damsel in distress is instead the viper-tongued harpy who hates him more than anyone else on earth. As if she weren't ruined enough, Savoury's attention can only bring more disaster. Despite their intentions, true friendship and trust grow between them, and the attraction they had long denied begins to deepen. But behind their backs lurks a dark mystery that threatens them both. Only by uncovering and thwarting the sinister plot can they have a chance for survival and love.

Genre(s): Historical Romance
One of the best things about this job is that occasionally you discover a new author that really makes you sit up and take notice. Ms. Jacobs is that kind of author. She takes characters that on first glance have no redeeming characteristics at all and molds them into individuals with true nobility. The prime example of this is Savoury, who when we first meet him, is the stereotypical rake with empty pockets
Aphrodite's Brew
It’s only a restorative tonic for women. So why are the bachelors of the Ton running scared? The Earl of Vailmont, a confirmed bachelor who laughs at superstition, scoffs at the rumors that a love potion is behind the recent string of improbable marriages, and he vows to expose the charlatan behind the fraud. But when Val meets Sylvia, Lady Ashbroughton, her silver-green eyes set his soul spinning as if he has just encountered a witch.
Sylvia needs no handsome earls prying into her life. If Val learns of her secret trade in potions, she will be ruined and her beloved stepdaughter will be deprived of her Season. Worse, the earl could uncover Sylvia’s most shameful secret—her penchant for handsome men. To ward him off, she protects her fragile heart from unwanted new passion by wearing her family recipe in a locket.
But neither logic nor charms can combat the stubborn love that sweeps them into a whirl of unbridled passion.
And, from somewhere in the mists of time, a forgotten, nameless god is laughing.
Warning, this title contains the following: explicit sex and unexpected bursts of side-splitting humor.
Fire Dance
On the order of King William II, called Rufus, Alain De Crency goes to Cumbria to seize the castle of the sorcerer Fyren, kill him, and take Fyren's daughter as his bride- no questions asked.
But no siege or battle is necessary, for the castle is merely handed over to him. And inside he finds the evil Fyren dead, his body shrouded in the most magnificent purple cloak Alain has ever seen. Alain takes the cloak for his own, then discovers the intended bride is missing. He wonders, does the girl, as he had asked Rufus, have two heads? And what secrets will he find that Rufus didn't want to tell him?
Tormented by demons and hideous dreams, Melisande cares not whether she lives or dies, yet she fears death far more than dying. She has committed a sin that will never be forgiven, killed her murderous father to protect her people from his predations. But Fyren is said to be the Spawn of Satan, and Melisande has every reason to believe his claims. And once she crosses into the realms of Satan, she knows her father will exact vengeance beyond her worst imagination. The hellish voices that scream inside her head now are nothing compared to what is to come. Yet she knows the Norman priests will burn her for her crimes as well as her demons.
She flees, hoping the Norman lord will be satisfied with just the castle. But Fyren has sealed the fate of the Norman, for the purple cloak she left as Fyren's shroud is now draped over the Norman's shoulders. Only Melisande knows what it will bring. Only she can save the Norman from his fate, and the fate of her people with him. That means she must face death. And Hell. And Fyren.
Loki's Daughters
The Vikings are coming. And these men don't have rape and pillage on their minds. They mean to stay, and take wives. The easy way or the hard way.
When Celtic maid Arienh surprises a Viking in the hills, she thinks she's doomed. In the downhill chase, she stabs him and escapes, leaving him to die in the rain and mud. But he doesn't die, and instead forces his way out of the freezing rain into her cottage. Meaning to calm him and protect her Celtic village from potential violence, Arienh tends his wound. But the dying man confuses her with his teasing, and in the middle of the night wakes her with a kiss and the bizarre assertion that she belongs to him.
Not in her lifetime. Torn by rage and loss from years of predation by Vikings, with all the men in her village and family lost to Viking raids, Arienh has poured her life into protecting the remaining women and children of her village. She hates Vikings. She would never submit to one. And she will never forgive.
Ronan knows she doesn't recognize him, but he has never forgotten her. As a young boy he was forced to join his cruel uncle in his marauding, and during a raid on her village Ronan sacrificed his only chance of escape to hide Arienh from his Viking kin. He has finally found her again, only to be wounded at her own hand. How can he prove he is not like other Vikings when he has brought more of his kind with him and they all have the same intention, to take over the land of the village women who hate them, and worse, turn them all into wives?
The Mudlark
The only thing they have in common is their grim determination not to marry each other. But their fathers have them well and truly trapped. No matter how much they dislike each other, their only hope for escape is collaboration. And so together the concoct an elaborate scheme of their own, a double elopement, with a twist, so to speak... A Regency Romance in the Georgette Heyer tradition.
His Majesty, the Prince of Toads
Sometimes it takes more than a kiss to change a toad into a handsome prince.
When Captain Lucas Deverall returns from the Peninsular War to succeed to his deceased brother's title, he grudgingly decides to take back his wife. But even before he learns the circumstances of his inheritance, he encounters her at a New Year's gala. Shock sets in as he realizes the most beautiful woman in England is the same gangly, calf-eyed chit who tricked him into marriage six years before.
That's not how Sophie remembers it. She wishes fervently she'd had the sense not to scream when the drunken scapegrace crawled into her bed at her Uncle Harry's house party. True, she'd had a secret tendre for the handsome wastrel, until his scathing denunciation of her after their forced wedding. Then he went off to war without even consummating their union, and for six years she heard nothing from him.
Now the toad offers her forgiveness in exchange for his presence in her bed? Revenge comes more to mind.
And so the battle of wits begins. And the harder they fight it, the more they fall in love.

Cupid Report
Alexandria Bergstrom & Clint Riordan
Recognizing the challenge of creating the most distinctive and difficult match, this Cupid has chosen to re-visit a match gone wrong nearly three decades before, when a defective arrow forged an impossible bond between Robert Bergstrom and Regeena Scarlatti. While those two did fall in love, marry and produce offspring, the marriage turned tragically sour. Their daughter, Alexandria Scarlatti Bergstrom, has not, until this Challenge, known she had a father who cared about her. So it was time for these errors to be corrected. Please note that Robert Bergstrom's death was entirely coincidental, but this Cupid chose to make an opportunity from this sad situation.
On the surface, Clint Jason Riordan, with his calm, even disposition and compassionate nature, due to his happy childhood, marred only by the sudden death of his father would seem an easy match for Alexandria. But like the failed generation that preceded them, these two proposed lovers have entirely different lifestyles, personalities and goals, which present nearly impossible obstacles to overcome. Alexandria, the fashionista with a fixation on color and clothing and the exciting nightlife of the Big City, has no comprehension of Clint's love of rural ranch life and horses. Clint, on the other hand, finds city life distasteful, and has little respect for people he sees as shallow and callous.
Nevertheless, this Cupid became convinced that this match needed to be made, regardless of the obstacles. It should be noted that an entire quiver full of arrows had to be dispatched at various intervals throughout the courtship. However, it is the belief of this Cupid that the expense was well worth the cost.
