All Quiet on the Western Front

All Quiet on the Western Front first came out in 1929, it's a war story told from the point of view of the average soldier, and is - at least in this reviewer's opinion - one of those books that can be read by anyone - young or old, veteran or civilian, man or woman - and have the reader find something in it to move them. Like the note inserted before the story even begins, the book does not cast blame on
