Eden's Scarecrow

All cops envision themselves catching a serial killer, rescuing a child from a burning building, or collaring an armed bank robber red-handedly. Detective Jack Helton has done all three. As the most decorated homicide detective on the force, Jack Helton is the lead investigator on all homicides. However, when a security guard is found mortally beaten at the city dump, all of the evidence points to Jack Helton as the person responsible. It’s later revealed that the security guard hid a priceless painting that he recently stole from the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Jack claims that he does not know the security guard but he believes that the recovery of the missing artwork is key to unraveling the investigation. He convinces his best friend in internal affairs that he is innocent, despite providing a shaky alibi.

Helton has just 72 hours to solve the case by himself, while on the run as a fugitive. As the entire police department searches for one of their own, the slain security guard’s teenage daughter may know the whereabouts of the priceless painting. However, she has no intentions of talking to the police, since a cop supposedly murdered her father. Helton knows that he is the only person who can solve the murder. What’s Helton’s connection to a slain security guard? Why is the missing painting so important to the investigation? Did Jack Helton really kill the security guard or was he framed?
