Shadowfell
Sixteen-year-old Neryn is alone in the land of Alban, where the oppressive king has ordered anyone with magical strengths captured and brought before him. Eager to hide her own canny skill--a uniquely powerful ability to communicate with the fairy-like Good Folk--Neryn sets out for the legendary Shadowfell, a home and training ground for a secret rebel group determined to overthrow the evil King Keldec. During her dangerous journey, she receives aid from the Good Folk, who tell her she must pass a series of tests in order to recognize her full potential. She also finds help from a handsome young man, Flint, who rescues her from certain death--but whose motives in doing so remain unclear. Neryn struggles to trust her only allies. They both hint that she alone may be the key to Alban's release from Keldec's rule. Homeless, unsure of who to trust, and trapped in an empire determined to crush her, Neryn must make it to Shadowfell not only to save herself, but to save Alban.
Seer of Sevenwaters
Get swept away in the romantic fantasy of this national bestselling author's world of Sevenwaters
The young seer Sibeal is visiting an island of elite warriors, prior to making her final pledge as a druid. It's there she finds Felix, a survivor of a Viking shipwreck, who's lost his memory. The scholarly Felix and Sibeal form a natural bond. He could even be her soul mate, but Sibeal's vocation is her true calling, and her heart must answer.
As Felix fully regains his memory, Sibeal has a runic divination showing her that Felix must go on a perilous mission-and that she will join him. The rough waters and the sea creatures they will face are no match for Sibeal's own inner turmoil. She must choose between the two things that tug at her soul-her spirituality and a chance at love...

In this latest offering, Marillier sweeps us back to the, at this point, rather epic narrative of the people of Inis Eala, their joys, their sorrows, and what they must face as the ages turn and change is near overwhelming.
As usual, Marillier does a lovely job of noting the little details that bring a story to vivid life. There is careful mention of the stories of those who have come before, the

Heartbreaking and brilliant -- I loved Heart's Blood.
Julliet Marillier is in rare form in Heart's Blood. The plot moves along at a quick clip, events unfolding gradually to reveal all facets of the story, but the story itself never seems rushed. Marillier's poetic prose and her inimitable grace in bringing this world and its people to vivid life was achingly poignant.
I especially enjoyed how she spread ou
Heir to Sevenwaters
A brand new novel in the beloved world of Sevenwaters—a fantasy series that "should appeal to Lord of the Rings fans" (VOYA).
The chieftains of Sevenwaters have long been custodians of a vast and mysterious forest. Human and Otherworld dwellers have existed there side by side, sharing a wary trust. Until the spring when Lady Aisling of Sevenwaters finds herself expecting another child—a new heir to Sevenwaters.
Then the family's joy turns to despair when the baby is taken from his room and something...unnatural is left in his place. To reclaim her newborn brother, Clodagh must enter the shadowy Otherworld and confront the powerful prince who rules there.

The discovery of this book was a most welcome surprise, as I had not been anticipating a return to the world of Sevenwaters. This story follows in the beloved footsteps of the previous books, masterfully weaving together love, family, and high adventure. Clodagh is a beguiling heroine and one can't help but cheer her on. I loved the descriptions of her and her stick baby, especially that scene towards the end
