Author: Kay Furness | Website
Kay Furness has always loved Regency romances and history in general. After leaving Edinburgh University with a PhD in history, she became a history lecturer, although she has been writing since childhood. She has a massive weakness for tall, gorgeous men with a sense of humour, and the dynamic women they attract. She also likes a bit of eccentricity! Her first romance 'The Reluctant Petruchio' was published in 2008, followed by 'The Counterfeit Countess' in 2009, which was described as 'an exceptional Regency tale' on Fallen Angel reviews. 'The Country Libertine' and 'The Mad Professor' have just gone live on Kindle. Kay lives in Kent with her long-suffering husband, who is also tall and gorgeous, and is currently writing her fifth novel.

The Country Libertine
The outrageous Patrick, Lord St Runius, has been banished from London by his father after a scandalous love affair and forced to lead a virtuous life on a country estate. Furious at this, the young Earl looks around for diversion, finding it in his rather bossy next door neighbour, Helena Ludlow. Unfortunately Helena remembers 'Wild Paddy' from London and is determined he'll get nowhere near her or her beautiful younger sister. The more Helena tries to repel him, the more determined St Runius becomes, but the more she sees him, the more she likes him. It seems St Runius has truly changed, until a shocking scandal explodes. And if the Earl can't explain himself to Helena, how can she possibly believe he's innocent?
The Reluctant Petruchio
Lady Kate Fitzlynn has caused so many scandals that a trip to Gretna with another girl’s betrothed leaves her uncle at breaking point. Help is at hand from her childhood friend Ally Lavenham, who offers to act as Kate’s brotherly guardian and bring her to heel. But the fiery Kate has no intention of surrendering to a crook-nosed dandy, and Ally finds that playing Petruchio is infinitely harder than he had expected!
The Mad Professor
Rachel Delingpole thought the eccentric Stephen Darenth loved her and wanted to marry her, until he threw her over to be a languages professor. Two years on, Stephen's back and in a mess, and only a wife can save his career. His exasperated elder brother thinks Rachel would be perfect, and since Rachel is single and in need of a husband, the engagement is announced. Rachel isn't happy. Not only is Stephen a jilt, he's rude, mad, and prone to having blondes fainting on him in public. He's also far too clever with words and his singing's atrocious. But there isn't another man like him, and as Rachel navigates her way through the Season and her engagement, she comes to realize that some girls just need the unconventional. If only she could trust him...
The Counterfeit Countess
The famously upright Francis, Earl of Surby is astonished when the beautiful Rosalind appears, claiming to be the long lost widow of his cousin, and wanting his backing to make her entry into society as the dowager countess. But without a marriage certificate to prove her story, Francis refuses to acknowledge her, only to find himself tricked into doing it by the determined Rosalind. He knows she must be a shameless adventuress; the only problem is that the more time he spends with her, the less he cares. And with his moral duty on a collision course with his feelings, Rosalind herself discovers that her painful past is not as buried as she had hoped…
