Author: Kaye Spencer | Website

Kaye Spencer writes steamy romances from her basement hovel in a quiet little neighborhood in extreme southeastern Colorado. She’s been a writer for most of her varied and adventurous life and is also published under the pseudonym, A.L. Debran.

While Kaye is drawn to cowboys of the Old West, all romance genres are within her sphere of story crafting. Kaye has followed the rodeo circuit, raced thoroughbred horses, herded cattle across the prairie, broken horses to ride, worked as a school psychologist, teacher, and school administrator. However, she recently abandoned her career in public education for the exotic and exciting life as a romance novelist.

Louis L’Amour westerns and Marty Robbins’ gunfighter ballads are a deep within her soul. When in deep writing mode, the Lord of the Rings movie trilogy and the movie, Last of the Mohicans, are her inspiration, and she is a self-professed Phantom of the Opera and Arthurian legend fiend. Her favorite book is The Mists of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley. Sam Elliott, Gerard Butler, Alan Rickman, Liam Neeson, Sean Bean, and Gabriel Byrne make her rockin’ world go ’round.

Kaye and her husband live in tolerable harmony with a menagerie of pets, and though they’re entirely too young to have grandchildren, they wouldn’t know what to do without them. However, her husband doesn’t know about Gerard, Alan, Liam, Sean, and Gabriel, although he resigned himself years ago to her one-sided relationship with Sam…

Gambling with Love

Disowned by her wealthy Charleston family when she married a gambler, Lainie Conrad lived a charmed life of European travel, good times, and gambling until Rutherford Tolliver decided to claim Lainie for his own. Now, widowed and certain that Tolliver killed her husband, Lainie plots revenge, but she doesn't want Ford's life. She plans to ruin him in a high-stakes poker game. The problem is, she's fallen for U.S. Marshal Nick Foster, who is duty bound to arrest her for a murder she didn't commit. Derringers, poker, and her feminine wiles become weapons in her quest for retribution.

The Dance

Janae Palmer, a reclusive city girl facing a book review deadline, is at her wit’s end with her upstairs neighbor, rodeo bullfighter Owen Quinlan. He’s cranked-up his music, and she’s on a mission to give him a lesson in manners. Having fantasized about getting him in bed, she gets more than she’d planned after a knock-out introduction.

Owen is more than willing to share in her fantasies, but when his rodeo life comes between them, the words of a song will either give them the courage to go on together or leave them with only bittersweet memories of The Dance.
