The Past Between Us

FBI Agent Thomas Bristol has wanted Cassi Nolan since he was a kid. Now Cassi is wanted by the law and he's tracking the little thief down. The former prom queen was always wild, even when she was befriending poor foster child Tommy. But he never thought she could turn this bad: swindling destitute old ladies out of thousands, jilting men after stealing their cash.

Cassi has changed—no doubt about it. So he can't let those guileless blue eyes trick him into letting her go. Even if she does profess her innocence…and her story is starting to make sense. He made vows to follow the law to the letter. And he won't let a word like love get in the way.

I enjoyed this book; if you're looking for an entertaining novel, this is it! I consider this novel a heavy hitting love drama. So, if you're into a lot of light-hearted pratfalls, this is not one of those stories. It was a fast read, yet different in I'm not used to thinking and believing in a heroine as a crook; but I did. It was a very believable plot from the beginning. The characters are strong (just lik

Guarding the Socialite

Socialite Emma Vale has dedicated herself to Iris House—a sanctuary for women starting over. But when she's called in to identify the body of one of her girls, Emma is stunned to learn that the women of Iris House have been targeted by a violent sociopath…and she could be next.

Still nursing some hefty emotional baggage, FBI agent Dillon McIntyre has been lying low, but something about this case seems to reach out to him. Or is he just responding to Emma herself? As the list of suspects grows and the killer hones in on his target, Dillon must face the difference between protecting a potential victim…and protecting the woman he loves.

Things don't exactly go smoothly when Aubrey Rose first meets Sammy Halvorsen. In fact, she would do almost anything else than be a nanny to his son and the only reason she agrees to take on the job is that she finds Ian, Sam's son, adorable.  Sammy doesn't exactly find her a smooth fit either at first. The relationship changes as they get to know each other.  But Sammy starts coming out of his gri
