When I chose, Snakes and Jails and Puppy Dog Tails by Mallary Mitchell to read and review, I didn’t realize it would be a short story. If so I may not have chosen it, but I did, and I am happy I did.
It’s a feel good story about when a brother makes a sacrifice to keep his older brother and father out of jail and he lets true love pass him by.

I found The Last Promise to be a sweet 24-page romantic tale about the power of love in the most dire of circumstances. The story itself projects the feeling that if we believe in love enough, that it could change our reality and the way we see and experience the world.
