Death by Scandal

Lady Calandra can't help it if the scandal sheets have dubbed her "the dangerous debutante." The Earl of Camden needed to be shot. And she certainly didn't poison her latest suitor for failing to make her an offer...although everyone seems convinced she did. She's never killed anyone, but someone is determined to make it look as though she has. Desperate to save her reputation, Lady Calandra needs a betrothal-now-and turns to one of the few friends she has left.

Arthur, Lord Alsbury is only too happy to oblige her. Arthur has loved the beautiful musical prodigy for years. To save Calandra, he must put himself at risk. In order to unmask a killer, Arthur must pretend to be Calandra's next intended victim.

If he fails her, the consequences are dire--either a slow death by scandal or a swift one at the hands of a murderer.

Compromising Prudence

Prudence Wemberly is desperate. Her reputation has been damaged by a cowardly suitor and her overbearing father will disown her when he finds out about it. She musters her courage and flees to the house of the most notorious courtesan in London. If she's ruined, why not become a courtesan herself and have a little fun for a change? It sounds like a reasonable idea—after she has her third glass of sherry.

Charles Hatterly only wants to pursue his passion for ornithology, but his family expects him to marry and manage the family estates. He needs to find a well-behaved girl who will be content to marry him—and then leave him alone.

For a gentleman scientist in need of a wife and a ruined miss in need of a future, there is an obvious solution. If Prudence and Charles can make it to the altar despite their meddling families, unscrupulous rakes and the brewing scandal that has the ton talking, they just might find more than they bargained for. Can true love bloom amid the catastrophes that arise from compromising Prudence?

Civilizing Frances

Frances Hatterly is thrilled to finally make her London debut. She means to indulge her passion for fashion and frivolity. But before she can even make her curtsey, she finds herself accidentally compromised by the most arrogant man she has ever met. Desperate to avoid being forced into marriage, she resolves to make herself as obnoxious as possible to drive him away.

The Duke of Ainsley knew he should never have agreed to help launch his friend's uncivilized sister Frances into society. After he is found alone with Frances, he must either marry the brat or find someone else to do so. But what sort of man would be willing to take the hoyden off his hands?

Ainsley must civilize Frances quickly, or risk losing more than his bachelorhood--he just might lose his heart.

Marguerite Butler provides Regency fans with an absolute t treasure in this witty tale. Frances is such a charming hoyden and so likable with her country/American manners. Ainsley is the exact opposite of her and yet he will never find himself bored in her company. I loved witnessing them slowly endearing themselves to one another. Their interactions with each other and the rest of the cast was so refreshing,

The last thing he expects is to meet the woman of his dreams.

Trapped in the Cotswolds by a flood, there is no escape from the temptations and complications that arise from Graham's game of becoming Mr. Brooking.

Marguerite Butler’s Becoming Mr. Brooking is a delightful Regency love story filled with humor and heart. The perfectly paced romance builds naturally between a lovable heroine and irresistible hero who are more alike than either would initially imagine. Edwina Tolliver’s forgetful yet brilliant scientist brother, Sir Horace Tolliver, has come to rely on her talents and efficiency too much. She
