"A Rainbow for Christmas" started out just fine for my taste. The story line was one that I really enjoy - wagon train heading westward - damsel in distress - that sort of thing. Meg and her little niece were traveling alone to Denver via wagon train after the deaths of little Eliza's parents. Meg was on her way to marry a man unknown to her and "sold" by her father in return for money to save the family f

Night Watch
What has Lily "walked" into...?
From the moment Lily's plane lands in tropical Trinidad, things go awry. She planned for rest, relaxation and photography, but instead faces mistaken identity, a gun running operation and danger. Her transportation to her lodging does a no show, and she is mistaken for someone named Katherine by Kyle Warren.
Putting the unsettling feelings of her trip and recent deaths of her parents behind her, Lily enjoys the ocean view from her room only to see the familiar figure of the man from the airport-he is watching men stealthily unloading cargo from a small boat. Over the next few days, Lily's resemblance to another puts her in danger and Kyle's attempts to protect her further complicate the uncanny memories and feelings that she may indeed know him from the past.
With her life in peril, Lily discovers a deep kinship with her doppelganger and a growing attachment to Kyle.

I wanted to like this book but, I am sorry to report that it just did not light me up. The hardest thing for me to get over (without giving too much away, here) is Kyle's brand of trying to protect Lily from the bad guys. There was a lot of redundancy throughout the book. The rehashing of salient points over and over very quickly got on my last nerve. One thing for sure, I never was able to figure out exac
Secrets by the Sea
Stunned to learn that her grandfather’s body had washed onto an Antigua beach, a victim of foul play, Dana Sinclair leaves immediately for the exotic place her grandmother had always called “Heartbreak Island.” She moves into her grandfather’s centuries-old home, Edgewood Manor which overlooks the Caribbean Sea, and begins searching for answers to the questions haunting her…
Who would want her grandfather dead? Why did the police immediately suspect Clifton Wilder, her handsome but enigmatic neighbor? Is there something to the legend of the Brasher doubloon, or it is simply an island tale?

Murder, haunted houses, and ghosts, OH MY! Secrets by the Sea is that and more. I fell in love with the style of writing from this author and found myself enchanted from the moment my little iPad launched it. Sifting through Dana and Clifton's story was haunting and reminiscent of those fabulous Gothic Mysteries of old where the Victorian Houses resided near the cliffs with a modern twist, of course.
