Night Owl Book Review for The Ninth Circle

The Ninth Circle is an introduction for me to the U.S.S. Merrimack series and I must say it is a most excellent one. One of the things I like about it is that, while the reader "knows" there are previous books in how some of the characters are written and some of the references, it can be read as a standalone book. Another element that I find very appealing about the book is a sort of "what's past is future
