This is a re-released collection of fabulously dark and creepy short stories by British horror author, Ramsey Campbell. "Out of Copyright" features an anthology editor who cuts costs by using stories out of copyright protection to avoid having to pay authors, but ends up paying a much higher cost. Another highly disturbing story was "Call First" featuring a nosy library employee who finds that curiosity didn'

In fact, it’s about to get much worse. Now it’s time to pay the price. This book has been previously published.

Ramsey Campbell does it again with a tale of horror and regret in which a group of friends all make a pact with the devil through a chain letter in order to have their dreams come true, but with horrifying consequences. The rest of the novel is the 4 friends trying to break the pact that they have signed their soul to.
This book made me keep turning the pages, granted, it's not one of his absolute best, b
Ancient Images
A lost horror film holds the key to terrifying secrets. The legends have persisted for decades of a lost horror film starring Boris Karloff and Bela Lugosi that was never released. Rumor has it that, for reasons long forgotten, powerful forces suppressed the film and burned all known prints. Nobody now living has seen the finished film. But that might no longer be true… Film researcher Sandy Allan is invited to a screening of a newly-discovered sole-surviving print, but then the film disappears and the real horror begins. Sandy’s search for the film leads her to Redfield, a rural community known its rich soil, fertilized by blood from an ancient massacre. But Redfield guards its secrets closely, with good reason. During every step of her search, Sandy is watched, shadowed by strange figures. Is it paranoia, or is someone—or something—determined to keep the lost film and the secrets it reveals buried forever? This book has been previously published.

Ramsey Campbell's Ancient Images is a horror story that draws you in with secrets. You have secrets about a film that doesn't exist, or does it? Horror films have been censored and a family curse is in the mix. The family doesn't really know the extent of it all. Unfortunately or fortunately the family curse does come with a blessing for the family and the entire people dependent upon them. After all, the s
