After dragging Carrie and her younger sister to the Indian Territory, her father worked hard to start a new life, but that first winter took Lydia's life too. Charles Robertson never recovered and died from a broken heart. Carrie was left to fend for herself, until the day a man with a broken leg showed up.
Noah Mosely was born a slave and would've died that way had he not escaped and ran as far north as he could. When he came to the mountains of Arkansas he would've froze to death if not for the Indian tribe that took him in, cared for him and taught him to fend for himself. When his horse was spooked by a mountain lion and threw him, his leg snapped and the horse ran. Dragging himself through the woods, he finally spotted the little cabin and hoped someone there would help him--or shoot him and put him out of his misery.
The daughter of a former slave owner and a runaway slave are an unlikely pair but these two must rely upon one another in order to survive. Indian Territory is wild and fraught with danger, it's no place for a woman alone. Noah Mosely is in no shape to help anyone until his leg heals. By the time it does, the relationship between him and Carrie has gone much farther than it should. Noah knows that feeling the way he does for a white woman could see him whipped or hanged. So he forces himself to leave her and rides back to his tribe, but when a hunting party heads out, Noah can't resist the desire to see Carrie one more time.
Noah knows that his feelings for Carrie cross the line, but he just can't help himself.
This is a family saga that brings together a runaway slave and the daughter of a former plantation owner. It includes many historical events and people, and brings the family to modern day Montana.

High in the hills above Albuquerque, New Mexico Detective Zachariah Ellison arrives at the scene of a murder, and not just any murder, but one that definitely falls into the 'gruesome' category even for a seasoned cop like Zach. When another body is found murdered in much the same fashion, Zach knows he’s got a serial killer on his hands, and to top it off he’s got an assistant district attorney hounding him about the case. As Zach tries to investigate the crimes while sidestepping nosey Amy Logan, a third body is found and Zach hasn’t a clue as to whom the perpetrator might be.
Amy Logan has worked hard to put herself through school and pay for law school on her own and now that she’s secured a position as assistant district attorney in Albuquerque, she’s determined to do everything she can to be the best prosecutor this office has ever seen. And as if luck was following her, she’s been assigned to the biggest homicide case the city has ever seen. The only problem she’s having is the homicide detective who’s leading the investigation—Zach Ellison.

I had a great time reading Closure by Rie McGaha. There were so many things I liked about the book but the element that got me the most was the suspenseful plot that unfolded on each page of Closure. The intense plot kept me reading. The characters were well developed and the description of everything from the dead body to the scenery in the book was fabulous.
The only thing that didn't work for me was all

The story of the Wolf, the Witch and the lineage of the two is a story in itself. The story of Ganda and Colin is a bittersweet love story. I loved the depth of love that Ganda and Colin shared.
Ancient Blood has a great story line with interesting characters but presented in a way that I found slow and in line of a monotone narrative. I feel the writing style may appeal to other readers; u
