While I can't compare it to the first two books in the trilogy, not having read them, I think that Messiah is a solidly written book that delivers quite a punch. Prophets

The first volume in the long awaited sequel of the Hostile Takeover Trilogy.

Since their founding, those colonies have remained unknown and untouched by the rest of humanity— until an enigmatic transmission arrives from the vicinity of Xi Virginis.

Something is awakening out there. Something that will change everything.
