Sandra Sookoo thrills with this gritty heroine’s story. Riley Hanson is unwaveringly self-sufficient and unconventional in both the human and shifter communities. She isn’t quite coarse but neither is she girly or refined. I love that we glimpse only a slight vulnerability in her and even then it doesn’t last long. Carson Hoode is a fantastic everyday hero, he’s the man we all say we want but then we just tre

Sandra Sookoo transports readers to a place and time that has always held fascination for so many. The author expressed a long-time love affair with historical Egypt and I must say I have always been in awe of the wonders this mysterious place has to offer. It is the perfect setting for this adventure and the couple who take it. I love how multi-layered Joy is. She is a heroine truly deserving of the title. S

As she pours a cup of tea, she rubs at a stain on the creamer pot, and a magical being, Rand, appears, saying he'll help her with her troubles-for a price each time. Skeptical yet curious about the exotically sexy man, she agrees, but she's not prepared for the erotic things he does to her as reward. Over the course of her trials, he teaches her how worthy of good things she really is.

Once the tasks are completed, and freed of Rand's help, Jovie is given an ultimatum: find out his full name or exchange her life for Rand's; otherwise, he'll be lost for all eternity and she'll be trapped in the prison he came from.
