Shaina Richmond's writing habit began out of frustration with the lack of romance novels that appealed to her. She's an Indie author who would like to make a full time career out of writing... or win the lottery so she could quit her day job and just write full time for the heck of it.
She often writes from a male perspective. She receives an outpouring of emails, especially from men, who compliment her on her ability to write accurately from a male point of view. The few comments she's received that say she doesn't write accurately as a man have, ironically, only been from women.
Her series "Safe With Me" will be published in its entirely, hopefully by the summer of 2011. Other parts are posted elsewhere online as of 2/2/11.
She likes to write long, detailed scenes full of dialogue. Her "adults only" scenes are written using "real" words - not flowery descriptions. For these reasons and many others, she hopes to 'make it' as a self-published independent writer, free of the demands of the publishing world.
