Snowline Lodge, yearlong skiing even in the waning days of summer, sounds like a great spot for Ron and Kara to continue to explore their passions. Not even the thought of having to spend time with Ron's folks while they celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary can cool their desire for each other.

But the storm clouds rolling in are harbingers of much more than inclement weather. Will the secret that Ron’s parents have kept buried for years rip apart their family during this Snowbound Summer? 

It was supposed to be a simple blind date. No one expected or even wanted it to become more than that. Chris was looking for a fun evening and a quick score. Merci was reluctantly doing a favor for an old friend.

No one expected them to actually hit it off and start dating for real. And at least one person is determined to make sure they don’t have a happy ending… 

Valentine’s Day – It’s the most romantic evening of the year and Kara and Ron are planning to celebrate it right: the ballet, a romantic dinner, capped with a very special night in an expensive hotel suite. At least, that’s what they were planning before Kara’s sister calls desperately needing someone to replace her sick babysitter while she and her husband spend the long Valentine’s Day weekend in Jamaica.

Suddenly Kara is exchanging roses for afternoon cartoons, the ballet for kids racing around the house, and a night with the man she loves for a long weekend snowed in at her sister’s home in suburbia.
