When Zena Livingston describes herself she says she is a wife, mother and slave. In reality she is an energetic Bellmorite who is the office manager for Livingston Foot Care Specialists located at 1685 Newbridge Road, North Bellmore, where she works with her husband Leon and their son Douglas.
Despite her busy schedule she has found the time to write a novel, THE MONEY GOD, which has been published by Vanguard Press.
Having the novel accepted by Vanguard Press and then seeing it in book form is a thrilling experience for this first time author who says that when writing a novel, she put her heart and soul into it and always dreamed of seeing it come to fruition.
Zena and her husband have worked at the same location in North Bellmore for the past forty four years. Prior to moving to Long Island, she lived in Washington Heights in Manhattan and attended the City College of New York where she received a degree in literature. After having taught English in the Bronx and Freeport, Zena gave up her teaching career to raise her children and help her husband with his podiatric practice. Her love of books and writing was never far away. THE MONEY GOD is a product of that affection. THE MONEY GOD is available on Amazon.com.

The Money God
THE MONEY GOD is the story of Celia’s life. Money was a driving force in her life. With it she had everything; without it she was vulnerable and alone. Cel allows the pursuit of money to take over her life and control every action. She sacrifices her family and her morals for the almighty dollar.
THE MONEY GOD traces the lives of three generation of Jewish women from the rural Catskill Mountains during the 1930’s to the challenges of city life in New York in the 1960’s. Along the way, these women face financial struggles, family rifts and the consequences of global conflict. It is a novel of love, love lost, lust and greed.
