Could you please start by telling us a little about yourself?
My name is Skylar Sinclair, and I pen paranormal, fantasy, and contemporary erotic tales smothered in carnality. I started writing about a year ago and I have never regret a minute of it!
As well as being an author, I am also a book reviewer (have been for over three years) and the head cover artist for Mardi Gras Publishing If you could be one of your characters - Who would you be? And why?
I loved Shayla in Rearing Heat (paranormal erotic romance), coming out with Siren Publishing July 2007. It is about equestrian shifters (horses) and I have always had an affinity with horses my entire life. There is just something wondrous when you are riding a horse, that freedom like nothing else you can imagine.
What's your favorite genre to read?
I love paranormal. I read, review, and write mainly in that genre. It appeals to me on that level of wanting to get away from the everyday life, seeking the dark, different and unusual. Who or what influences you when you write?
I write because I have a thirst to put down in words what whirls around inside my head. When my muse stops talking, I just pick up a book and it helps relax my mind. Reading truly is the spice of life :) What do you do on a typical writing day?
I write until the story stops flowing then I either read, clean or take a walk.
When you have writer's block how do you break free?
I stop thinking about it, letting my mind take a break. Again, I will read, clean or take a walk. Sometimes shopping even helps. Can you please give us a sneak peek at any of your upcoming books?

Please tell us what you have planned next?
I am at this moment finishing up the sequel to Extraordinary Love called Sacred Love and then I will be writing Strange Ride for Tease Publishing. In 5 years, where do you see yourself? -In general and in you're writing career
I write for the sheer joy of it and I am concentration on this year. Next year who knows? Who is your perfect hero? And why?
All my characters are my perfect heroes when I am penning them. But what I truly love are men that are dark, delicious, and too bad for their own good. With just enough redemption to love them, feel for them. What do you do for inspiration?
Read! Is there a genre of book you would like to write but haven't yet?
Yes, I would love to craft a time travel one of these days. What kind of research do you do for your books? Do you enjoy the research process?
I buy a lot of books and read my butt off. I love learning about different cultures, legends, and periods in time.
Do deadlines help or hinder your muse?
They really help to keep my muse in line and me writing. So yes, deadlines are helpful to me and my muse.
When did you first decide to submit your work? Please, tell us what or who encouraged you to take this big step.
As I mentioned earlier, I have been reviewing for years, then one day an editor friend saw something I wrote and said you need to submit that. To make a long story short, I did and the rest is history ;) What would you like to tell your readers?
The most important thing I want to say to the readers is, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading and buying my books. Without you I would be nothing. You are the rocks that keep this mountain strong. For that, I will always be most grateful. What is the best advice you have ever received?
I have never received any bad advice, really. The best advice was to write from the heart and love what you write.
Do you outline your books or just start writing?
Nope, I am a total fly-by-the-seat-of-my-pants writer. I do write a blurb and go from there. Do you belong to a critique group? If so, how does this help or hinder you?
No, I never have used a critique group. I have a friend that is an editor and we work on my manuscripts together if need be. What was your first published work and when was it published?
My first story came out August 2007 called Swing by Me in the Summer Heat 3 anthology from Midnight showcase.
