Alric is the chief of a clan of people whose men wear loincloths and he has a secret. He is a werewolf when the moon is full and he thinks his father is the one who made him a werewolf. One day a nomadic tribe enters his land to play music, have sex and eat his food. He allows this group to remain because he has become bewitched by one of their females, Caasi. His advisor, Godric, tells him to talk to her and find out if the witch can help him. Alric doesn't talk to her so Godric goes around his back and talks to her. While they are talking the men lead Alric to a cave and they shackle him with chains and a few watch Alric turn into a werewolf. Alric gets knock but unbeknownst to anyone a group of werewolves have surrounded them. By the time Alric wakes up all have been slaughter except for him, Caasi, and another man. Will Alric and Caasi survive to find out who killed Alric's people and who made him a werewolf? This read is a romantic suspense that keeps you awake until the end. It has a fascinating quest to figure out in this story.
