A NIGHT OWL REVIEWS BOOK REVIEW | Reviewed by: Arianne
In Ireland 924 AD, Ronan was a little boy when he gave away his life to a witch named Muirgen. She taught him how to use magic so he could do stuff for her. However, the way Muirgen taught him how to use magic was cruel. She would lock him up wooden room with no food or water. One such day Muirgen gave him a pebble to learn. Ronan learn that the pebble could take him to places in the future. They all led to a girl named Teagan. They first thought of each other when Teagan was a ten year-old girl in 1995 AD. Then later when both have grown up, Ronan comes to Teagan’s house and they both fall in love with each other but will they stay together or will Muirgen due something to get Ronan back?
The author has blended a captivating tale of a fantasy with Irish undertones. The history in the story is told in a believable way. The characters themselves are appealing. They are full-bodied and have a sense of intelligence to why they do something and speak the way they do in the story.
