A NIGHT OWL REVIEWS BOOK REVIEW | Reviewed by: Chris
Keely Walsh is the youngest in a family of warriors. And she’s the only girl. Add in her above average intellect, and you have a problem just waiting to happen. When she stumbles onto a plot to lure a group of security firm specialists to their doom, one of which is one of her brothers, she quickly springs into action to intervene and save her brother and his team. And is doing just fine, thank you very much.
Ren Maddox can’t quite reconcile what he’s seeing with what he knows is happening. A sprite is running around killing and subduing men who out weigh her, can handle any weapon with deadly accuracy, and has nerves of steel. And she has his anatomy standing up and taking notice, literally. In a situation that is deadly dangerous, he vows to himself to protect her now and after the mission. Because he’s not letting his sprite go.
I really enjoyed this story, but I kept waiting for Keely to leap a building in a single bound. Her abilities got to be a bit much as the story progressed, and her physical limitations didn’t jibe with her reputation. Every time there was a crisis she was ready to faint due to low blood sugar. Huh? Anyway, that was the only thing that distracted from the story for me. Ren was alpha, but had a squishy center that was very appealing. With all of Keely’s brothers, I’m hopeful there will be more stories since this one left some questions dangling in the breeze. While there is a lot of sexual tension between Ren and Keely, the consummation of a physical relationship isn’t rushed. With memorable moments of humor and a mystery to solve, this was an engrossing read.

Book Blurb for Eye Of The Storm
Keely Walsh has three doctorates, five older brothers and has never met a situation she couldn't handle. While consulting with the NSA, she discovers sensitive government information indicating her brother, a private security operative, is in danger. Keely travels to the dangerous Triple Frontier in South America to warn him and his colleagues and finds the last thing she expects--a man who sends icy shivers down her spine even as he lights every one of her fires.
Ren Maddox, co-owner of Security Specialists International, a security firm that works for large corporations and governments, is on an intelligence-gathering mission for the US government when a petite strawberry blonde armed with a Bren Ten and an attitude ten feet tall pops out of the Argentine jungle with a warning of imminent danger. The fact she is one hundred percent correct shocks him to his socks. The fact she is Tweeter Walsh's baby sister and can fight like the fiercest Marine is beside the point. No one who looks like Keely should ever be in danger. And once he gets her out of the current situation, he’ll make it his life's work to protect the feisty, sexy, little woman from any and all danger.
One alpha male. One determined and independent female. One hot, tumultuous relationship.
