Steve and Alex were best friends in high school. And while both were gay, it stayed on the friendship level. Though Steve did try to get it to the more than just friends level. To say that they had different views on sex would be an understatement. Both had feelings for the other person but different reasons not to pursue a relationship. Now it's ten years later and Steve's a recovering sex addict.
When his best friend Alex returns to town, Steve discovers Alex is a psychiatrist who specializes in past-life regressions. Even though Steve's been to rehab, he decides to get help in figuring out why he's a sex addict. Now it's pretty obvious that Alex is one of the reasons behind Steve’s dilemma. And it's also obvious that Steve and Alex will not have a typical doctor/patient relationship. They mix sex with therapy and it allows Steve to venture into his past lives. But what will happen when Steve experiences his past lives and discovers Alex is a central figure? And can their present relationship survive what they went through together in their past lives?
Back For More is an interesting, steamy and emotional read. I did enjoy the novel and there is a lot of details about the past life relationship of the couple. And the character of Steve had to grow on me. The passion between the two men is so hot that gloves will be needed to handle the pages.
