Writing Romance: The Ultimate Guide on Craft, Creation and Industry Connections is one of the few craft of writing books I've read cover to cover. It is real talk from authors who have been in the industry and made a name for themselves. Writing Romance is not just for the newbie or novice writer but has something for everyone. As an author myself, I was pleasantly surprised at the information contained within the book and what it had to offer. Broken down into three parts - Creation, Craft and Connection - this book is filled with helpful, useful articles which do not talk down to newer authors nor would be boring to more experienced and veteran authors. Articles such as "Getting Through a Blocked Point in Your Novel", "Battling Procrastination - One Day at a Time", "Of Muppets and Men: Writing Books, Raising Kids, Staying Sane", "Breaking Rules", "Best Character Development Tools", "Adding Vividness to your Writing", "Mentors and Professional Organizations", "The Ins and Outs of E-Publishing", "What an Agent is Really Looking For", "The Author/Agent Relationship", "View from the Verge" and "Building Buzz: Word-of-Mouth Marketing" are just some of the insightful articles in the book. Any author, whether they are print, electronic or aspiring to be published will find something useful in this book.
