Drucilla Robichoux, a Ph.D. in astrophysics, is having a tough time finding the right man to settle down with. Every man she’s dated so far has had a string of issues that she just can’t seem to get past. She knows that once the cosmic string project starts at work she won’t have very much time to do anything let alone date. So her best friend, Nikki Hanson, convinces her to go on vacation so she can finally let her hair down and relax awhile before the project begins. Reluctantly, she decides to head to Los Cabos, Mexico and while she’s there maybe have a fling to get sex off her brain.
When she arrives, she can’t believe this gorgeous surfer guy notices her. She thinks Alex Maddow is hot and wonders what a hot fling with him would be like. They start talking and one thing leads to another. Their clothes start flying and emotions start flaring. Alex seems like a guy that Dru could have a relationship with, but she knows that this is only a fling and couldn’t turn out to be anything more since they live in different countries. Alex lives and works in Los Cabos as a surfing instructor and she lives and works in San Francisco. It could never work out. That is until she returns to work and finds her sexy fling, Alex, sitting in on the launch meeting for the cosmic string project.
Do the sparks continue to fly between the two of them or do things go sour for them quickly? Can they make this fling something more permanent between them?
Ms. Weber doesn’t disappoint with her latest story for the Blaze line. She’s a talented writer and knows how to fully entertain her readers. I loved this story and enjoyed getting to know Dru and Alex as intimately as I did. I thought they made a wonderful match and I couldn’t wait to see what transpired once Dru found out that Alex wasn’t who she thought he was. I had hoped that they could get past this misunderstanding and work at a serious relationship since they were so good together. If you’d like to know how this story ended you definitely need to pick it up!
