Davy Graziano is a Navy SEAL medic who has been blessed with an attractive face and winning personality. He meets businesswoman JJ Caruthers at a fellow SEAL’s wedding and the sparks fly and ignite an incandescent one-night stand without full names even being exchanged. Almost a year later, Davy’s life has been irrevocably altered by his near brush with death in the line of duty and his mother’s recent death having left him with the responsibility for his younger step-siblings. JJ’s life is also in upheaval due to her grandfather’s demand that she find a husband or he will sell their car dealership out from under her. The two former lovers cross paths and struggle to determine whether fate has brought them together as a convenient way to solve each other’s problems or whether they are truly meant to form a lasting bond.
Mary Margret Daughtridge’s SEALed with a Ring is a well-written story that unflinchingly describes some of the repercussions endured by those brave men and women who put their lives on the lines to fight in the military. The characters are engaging and intriguing and their struggles remind us that it is easy to make snap judgments without having all of the details of a person’s life. This is an enjoyable and sensual romance that whets the reader’s appetite for more tales of these brave SEALs, while reminding us all to be grateful for the exceptional men and women sacrificing their comfortable existences and sometime their very lives to keep us safe.
