Imagine you are a captain in your countries army, the commander of the Gold Company, the best of the best. You have a love of learning and a knack for solving complex puzzles. Your country was on the losing side of a war with one of its neighboring countries and you are now attending a peace conference.
The enemy is half demons and humans who have a broader view on sex and marriage. Views your country feel are taboo yet you yourself are curious about. As you are listening to the two kings speak you hear your king who also happens to be your father offer you as CONCUBINE to the Warlord, half demon and half brother of the other king.
This is what happens to Kael in Concubine by Jill Knowles. Prince Kael and Warlord Tarren go through many phases in their relationship including cultural differences, attempted murder, kidnapping and jealousy.
This was an amazing story by Jill Knowles who kept me guessing and enthralled throughout the entire book!! I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.
