Neither sexiness nor smarts give Parker Quinn an edge when it comes to the bad-decision named Dean Maxwell. Despite her very good reasons for resisting the persistent CEO and his surprisingly likeable self, Parker quickly finds herself sliding down the slippery slope of attraction. Each encounter with Dean drags her further from her good reasons and deeper into his strong embrace.
I have some reservations about Parker's surrender, especially given her family loyalty and the strong sense of self Parker demonstrated early on in the story. Had certain events taken place in a different sequence, I would have had a bit less trouble suspending belief.
As a whole, "Parker's Price" is all the alpha-male goodness of a category romance combined with all the hands-on, sizzling attraction heat of an erotic romance: a taste of both worlds, if you enjoy both worlds (and I do).
