A NIGHT OWL REVIEWS BOOK REVIEW | Reviewed by: M Whelehan
I could not stop reading this book. It was a very informative and interesting read. The characters were so hot for each other that I could not put it down. Abby thought that she was an extremely boring person next to her sister. She always thought that her sister had the beauty and she had the brains. Lukas, the neighbor, is the all-around good-looking man that everyone wants to be with. These two neighbors never thought of the other in a romantic way. When Abby turned thirty, she realized that she needed to change her life. So, she got drunk and propositioned Lukas. And Lukas, being the nice man is mother raised him to be, told her to sleep it off and if she felt the same the next day, let him know. Their whole relationship was supposed to be casual. All that Lukas was supposed to do was help Abby with the list she emailed him. But as all casual relationships are, their feelings got in the way. They fell in love. I totally enjoyed reading this. From the time I read what the list was, I kept imagining how it was going to play out. As I read, the book brought my imagination to life. The book, in places, was actually better than my imagination could be. They way that Lukas played out Abby's list made me want to make up my own list. The only thing is that I wouldn't have a guy like Lukas fulfilling them for me. There were only two things that I did not like about the book. One of them was how short it was. The other was that we never found out what Lukas's list was. I think that if it were longer the list would be mentioned. And if the list were mentioned, we would definitely learn how it was going to be played out. I do recommend this to other readers who have always thought of something along the lines of this book. It puts your imagination to the test in a very good way.

Book Blurb for The Burn List
After spending her thirtieth birthday with her parents, straight-as-an-arrow Abby Simmons drowns her sorrows in a bottle of tequila and a splash of margarita mix. All she wants is a little excitement, one chance to go wild before she settles back into her regularly scheduled life. Fueled by liquid courage, Abby sets out to give herself the perfect gift-her bad-boy neighbor, firefighter Lukas Marlow. Sure, Lukas likes intoxicated girls looking to turn their fantasies into reality as much as the next guy, but this is sweet little Abby. Definitely on the do-not-touch list. Determined to save her from embarrassment, he sends her away with an order to sleep it off and a promise to fulfill her desires in the sober light of day. Confident he's scared her away for good, nothing could have shocked him more than an email from Abby the next morning, outlining her sexual to-do list. Turns out his quiet neighbor isn't such a good girl after all, and Lukas has no other choice but to make her burn. Publisher's Note: Previously published elsewhere, but has been revised and expanded for Ellora's Cave.
