A NIGHT OWL REVIEWS BOOK REVIEW | Reviewed by: Melinda

Celeste Anderson is in a big jam. She shopped impulsively and bought this gorgeous 13 carat diamond bracelet reportedly that belonged to some socialite bride. Now the problem is no one has come in to buy it. If she doesn't sell the bracelet she will become an utter failure to the jewelry store. Ever since her sister Hannah left her she has been trying to make ends meet. The thing is that she needs the sale badly and she is willing to do anything. However, she never expected a gorgeous guy like Alex Moretti to enter into her life. Right of the bat she knew he was sneaky for somehow he is distracting her with his kisses and passion. She has had men before but none like Alex. With one kiss she is melting in his arms and yet he is hiding something about himself. When the truth comes out can she still be there for him? Will she learn to give him a second chance?

Alex Moretti has done some stupid things and landing in jail was one big thing he doesn't want to do again. So it comes as a surprise when his father is calling him about a certain bracelet. He knows this is his last chance to redeem himself in his father's eyes. To his father he is failure. As the son of L.A.'s biggest gangster syndicate he cannot show any weakness. This becomes hard for him when he is near Celeste. Everything about her makes him wish for the impossible. He knows he cannot afford to come clean because he could loose her. Which comes to mind who is more important, his father who can send any guy to get the job done or Celeste a woman who not only can give him a second chance but show him what real love is really like?

Stolen Hearts is definitely a great title for this book. I loved the whole history of the bracelet and the confusion in Alex. For the first time in his life he is unsure what to do. It's entertaining to see how far he would go to protect Celeste. Karen Erickson did a beautiful job of showing how strong passion and how silly you can get when love hits you in the face. Though this can be read as a standalone there is a story before this called Virgin Jewels. That book is about her sister Hannah. Stolen Hearts is a great book and I can't wait for more of Karen Erickson work.

Book Blurb for Stolen Hearts

Stolen Hearts is a stand-alone sequel to Virgin Jewels.

Celeste Anderson doesn't believe in love at first sight. She intends to marry someone with the same interests and financial aspirations and have a neat, orderly life. But there's something to be said for the thrill of the unknown — and when Alex enters her family jewelry store, her body decides it's more than ready for a few thrills.

Desperate for his father's approval, ex-jewel thief Alex Moretti reluctantly agrees to steal an antique diamond bracelet from a tiny, ill-secured shop. No problem for a pro like Alex — until he meets Celeste. Now the only thing he's interested in stealing is her heart.
