A NIGHT OWL REVIEWS BOOK REVIEW | Reviewed by: ReaderGirl

Laurel has just started public school in her sophomore year of high school. She just moved with her family from a secluded forest home to a home in a small town. Laurel has always had a normal life until the day she finds a large bump on her back. She worries for several days as the bump continues to grow and she tries to hide it from her parents. One morning she wakes up to find the bump gone but a blossom in it's place, growing out of her back. She freaks out and shows her new friend David, hoping he can help her figure this out. He takes some blood samples from Laurel and samples from the blossom. He finds that her blood is more plant-based than human. They also discover that she doesn't have a pulse. What is going on with Laurel and her body? Going through high-school is hard enough without this.

I really enjoyed "Wings" because it contained a lot of mystery, fantasy, teen drama, suspense and action. It’s guaranteed to suit almost any taste. Don't pick this book up unless you have a chunk of time set aside, because you won't be able to put it down. A definite must-have for fantasy lovers.

Laurel turned to the mirror again, her eyes on the hovering petals that floated beside her head. They looked almost like wings.

In this extraordinary tale of magic and intrigue, romance and danger, everything you thought you knew about faeries will be changed forever.
