A NIGHT OWL REVIEWS BOOK REVIEW | Reviewed by: Robin

Alyee Bunnock is a natural born leader. Her father didn't understand her. All he wanted from her was for her to marry the man he chooses for her. Instead Alyee takes shelter at Everagis Abbey. Alone the way to the Abbey, the nuns keep picking up strays, women who have been beaten and abused and are alone in the world. When they get to the Abbey the nuns take ill and several of them pass away. This gives Alyee the idea to fake her own death in order to have the freedom she has always wanted. She renames herself Sister Terese. She then takes charge of the Abbey and the women who take shelter there. To all concerned, they are the nuns of the Abbey. Lachlan Sinclare has heard that Alyee is nothing but an ugly shrew who no man would ever want. So when his brother, who just happens to be Laird of the clan, orders him to go get Alyee from the abbey and return her to her home to web. Lachlan finds he has no choice but to go. When Lachlan and his men arrive at the Abbey and find out that Alyee is dead, instead of returning back home, they stay to help out the nuns. When Lachlan first sets eyes on Sister Terese he feels that his heart is lost to her but he must fight his feelings for her because she is a nun.

Ms Fletcher brings us the story of the third Sinclair brother Lachlan and his mate Alyee. The brothers stories keep getting better and better with each one. This is a great series. The adventures each brother has as they search for the youngest brother are very enticing. I would gladly recommend this series for anyone who loves a good historical romance.

Book Blurb for The Angel and the Highlander

The fearless warrior has finally met his match . . .

When Alyce Bunnock's father tried to marry her off, she fled, taking shelter at Everagis Abbey, donning a nun's habit, and renaming herself Sister Terese. But when Lachlan Sinclare arrives to restore her to her family, the safety of the convent is shattered. At the sight of the handsome Highlander, Alyce fears for her freedom—and weakens with desire.

Lachlan has been tasked with finding shrewish Alyce, but can think only of beautiful Terese. Yet with every forbidden touch, Lachlan comes closer to the truth. And once her secret is revealed, Alyce must choose between the independence she's always craved and the tempting man she cannot resist.
