A fascinating blend of Ancient Egypt and modern times, this book had this reader going from start to finish. Kat goes against logic and follows instinct when she frees Nikos and flees with him. His offer was just too good to pass up. Not knowing where they would be headed for next, once she bound Nikos to herself magically there was no going back; they both had to see this through to the end - whatever that would be. And added to that are the memories that start coming back once she begins this odyssey, the reader really doesn't know what is going to happen next. An edge-of-the-seat, gripping page-turner that can still grab the reader even when you know how it ends! There's a hint of possible sequels which I certainly hope bears fruit. Kat and Nikos are too dynamic, too charming, and definitely too sensual to be limited to just one book.
