A NIGHT OWL REVIEWS BOOK REVIEW | Reviewed by: Sandiebuck

Kismet Knight is a psychologist. One day a young woman named Midnight walks into her office wearing of all things a cape and fake fangs. She proclaims to Kismet that she wants to be a Vampire and then proceeds to tell Kismet about a group of vampires that hang out in a goth club. And their leader is an 800 year old vampire named Dev, short for Devereaux. Kismet does not believe that what Midnight is telling her is true, but decides to advertise herself as the Vampire Psychologist to study this subculture. But she doesn't expect to be almost raped and drained by a psychotic vampire named Bryce, who wants Dev for his very own soul mate and wants control of the coven. When Dev saves her and she is plunged into their world, scientist minded Kismet gets a whole new education on the paranormal and some romance as well between Dev and an agent tracking the vampires.

Lynda Hilburn's Kismet Knight series takes off with an incredible start with The Vampire Shrink. It is hot, sizzling and sexy with a hero to die for and I sure wouldn't mind a bite from Dev! I can't wait for the next installment of this series. She does a fantastic job with all her characters and once I started this book it was difficult to put down. Dev was captivating from the very beginning and I found myself looking forward to his scenes. When I got to the end of the book, I was good and ready to read more; this is a great new take on the vampire genre. I highly recommend this book to all readers of vampire romance and great urban romance. Amazing job Lynda Hilburn! Sitting on the edge of my seat waiting for Kismet's next adventure!

Book Blurb for The Vampire Shrink

Kismet Knight is a young psychologist with a growing clinical practice, and she's always looking for something to give her the edge in her chosen career. When her new client turns out to be a Goth teenager who desperately wants to become a vampire, Kismet is inspired to become the vampire shrink, offering her services to people who believe they are undead. Kismet herself, as a scientist, knows it's hokum, but she's looking at it in a purely psychoanalytic light, already imagining the papers she's going to write on this strange subculture.

That's until she meets the leader of a vampire coven, a sexy, mysterious man who claims to be a powerful 800-year-old vampire, and she is pulled into a whirlwind of inexplicable events that start her questioning everything she once believed about the paranormal.
