Ellie can talk to animals and understand them. She has been able to all her life, although she has pretended to be normal. Little did she know this ability came from her father who is a God.
Now she has been thrown into this "magical" world full of fae, fairies, and all manner of magical beings that she thought were make believe. She even finds a friend from childhood that she thought was part of her imagination as he is part goat and part man, but she finds that he is as real as the rest.
Of all thing she has fallen head over heels in love with a magical being--pointed ears and all. Now all in a matter of days she finds out her dad is a God and not dead like she thought, someone is out to kill her, and she is in love with someone out of a fairy tale. How can all of this be real? Wouldn't people notice beings walking around with pointed ears, or goats hooves? Well in this world anything is possible.
So will this relationship work out or is it just a fairy tale come to life? Will they be able to get the bad guy before he gets her? You will have to read to find out.
I loved this book from start to finish and couldn't put it down. Made for some very long nights!
