So many men and women come home from the sandbox (Iraq/A-stan) and places without names, injured emotionally as well as physically and Kyle Garland is no exception. Kyle Garland divorced his wife Aimee after a late term miscarriage. He'd always seen her as the strong one. The one he could depend on, and when she had to reach out for help after the miscarriage he realized she was "fragile" (Human). So he left on a mission and served her divorce papers, figuring he'd hurt her less by walking away. (Idiot) So like an Alpha-male. When an Op goes bad, Kyle is left damaged and scarred emotionally and physically. He's finally sent home from Germany only to find Aimee is still there. And she's not leaving. At least not until she gets some straight answers. Kyle is going to have to explain why he divorced her - something he's refused to do for the last fourteen months - or admit that he's still in love with her. As Christmas grows near and traditions are remembered and observed they struggle to figure out how something that was so precious between them went so terribly wrong. When truths are finally spoken and souls laid bare, both believe it's going to be A Broken Christmas While a short read, A Broken Christmas is an emotionally packed story, well worth your time.
