A NIGHT OWL REVIEWS BOOK REVIEW | Reviewed by: Silvermage

Frances is a young lady that bicycles and studies at a college. She is working on a paper on the tales of Merpeople. She then finds the lead collector that knows all about books on merpeople. His name is Garrett. She brings cookies along with her to help hopefully convince him to provide her with information. At first Frances thinks he is going to be an older man. But, he turns out to be young and nice. She tries denying that she is attracted to him also, because she wants to not admit to herself that a relationship with him would be more important that what information is in the books.

Will Frances and Garrett fall in love? Will she get all the info she wants to know? And are there real merpeople? Read and find out.

Over Her Head was a sweet romance that I truly enjoyed. It has great characters and a wonderful storyline.

Book Blurb for Over Her Head

Over Her Head by Nora Fleischer is a sweet and charming turn of the 20th century romance novella.

A bicycling young lady scholar writing her thesis on the historical meaning of merpeople tales visits a well-known collector of literature on the subject, determined to get him to let her read his books. She comes armed with cookies, that well-known advent to a man’s heart, and is surprised to discover he’s not at all the old curmudgeon she had imagined him to be. In fact, he’s almost dismayingly handsome, putting her far out of any running, were she so inclined, which of course she’s not. She just wants his books, despite what her landlady may say. Though she wouldn't say no to his friendship.
