A NIGHT OWL REVIEWS BOOK REVIEW | Reviewed by: Tamazon

Are you enthralled by Egyptian history or have been intrigued by the Egyptian gods? If so you must add this book to your TBR - To Be Read list. This book brings the Egyptian gods into present day life and is a hot number.

When Kendra's brother sends her a pendant from Egypt she wonders what the Hieroglyphics say? With her friends help they contacts an Egyptologist for help. Kendra's friend Tory had met an Egyptologist about a year ago and had plans to hook up with him at some point. The necklace was a good excuse.

Once Kendra had the translation she reads it and a visitor appears. Nefertem has been summoned, but along with summoning him he has a job to do. He must judge humanity and if they are found lacking be destroyed. Nefertem's mother will be the destroyer and Nefertem one of her tools.

As Nefertem comes to know Kendra they both develop deep feelings for each other, but there just is no future for them. She is a human with a short life span and he is an immortal. Will Nefertem find humans lacking? Will humanity be destroyed? Will Nefertem find a way for Kendra to become his mate for all time?

The Blue Lotus was one of those books that I just didn't want to end and I can't wait to see if there will be a sequel. Nefertem's brother would be a great addition and he is pretty hot! Ms. Chenery delivers a book the is totally different from anything I've read and I'll be looking for more works by her.

Book Blurb for The Blue Lotus

Kendra Miller finds herself intrigued by the gold pendant her brother sent her from Egypt. She finds the enameled blue lotus flower on it lovely, but the hieroglyphs engraved on the back are a mystery she wants to solve. After innocently translating the glyphs, she sets off a chain of events that can only end in disaster.

Nefertem, drawn to the woman who summoned him, knows his love for Kendra can only lead to heartache. Being bound to the pendant, his stay in her world is limited.

Together they try to stop the disaster Kendra has unwittingly set in motion; Nefertem fights the changes taking place inside him. If they fail, Kendra may pay for her actions with her life.
