A NIGHT OWL REVIEWS BOOK REVIEW | Reviewed by: Tigger9

A Just Deception was an amazing read. I absolutely loved the characters from the very beginning.

Isabelle has had a very hard life but she never gave up. She has dealt with her family and the way they handled things and became okay with it for the most part. When her cousin comes back she calls a friend that sends someone to help her out. Peter is the person that shows up and neither one are what the other was expecting. They have great interactions that are hilarious. The first time they meet they are not so sure about what is going on. As they get to know each other they begin to connect more and more.

It is great to get to watch them as Peter learns Isabelle's past and he just grows closer and more protective of her. There is action in this story and plenty of twists and turns. It grabs your attention from the very beginning and does not let go until the book is over. There is some sex involved in this story and it is somewhat explicit but it is not overly so. There are major emotions involved when they get physically involved and romantically involved. I really enjoyed the emotions that are involved and the way that they interact and treat each other throughout the story. These were great characters and I cannot wait for more from this series.

Book Blurb for A Just Deception

The protector: Peter Jessup, former Navy SEAL, currently employed by Taylor Security. He likes being the hero—in charge and in control.

His client: Lawyer Isabelle DeRosa. The sexy brunette is the personification of Peter's fantasies. She's willing to get physical but nothing more serious.

The assignment: When Isabelle becomes the prime suspect in the murder of her cousin, Peter is there to protect her and help her find the real killer. Their investigation leads to a big-name charity that seems to draw cultlike followers. Isabelle manages to infiltrate the group and become close to their leader, leaving Peter both jealous and worried for her.

As their search leads to danger, Peter realizes he's falling in love with Isabelle. He wants all of her, but she's too used to guarding herself to let him in…
