A NIGHT OWL REVIEWS BOOK REVIEW | Reviewed by: Valerie
Flirting with the Fireman is the story of Felicity Truro and her upcoming eleventh stint as a bridesmaid. Although Felicity, by day a starched librarian, is attracted to firefighter Rod McAllister she would never stoop so low as to let him know about it. Through a series of emails, voicemails and one on one conversation we follow Felicity through her bridesmaid trials, learn that her aunt has a mysterious illness and gradually watch her soften toward Rod. Rod for his part is very attracted to Felicity, but somehow through emails keeps saying the wrong thing. When he gets the chance to be best man he believes this will be the perfect opportunity to further their association. Things don't turn out quite like Rod planned though.
Flirting with the Fireman is an enjoyable, quick read. It was a little difficult to follow along with all of the different email and voicemail participants but in the end I found it to be a fun, satisfying read. Felicity's journal entries to her Dear Diary Fairy Godmother were priceless. I am looking forward to seeing more work from this author in the future.

Felicity Truro's diary is filling up with problems. First there's the ugliest bridesmaid's dress in the world, then there's her sick aunt's serious secret. But it's Rod McAllister, the handsome firefighter best man with attitude, who's melting her willpower and frazzling her nerves the most.
Can Flick survive being a bridesmaid for the eleventh time whilst falling for the best man? And how will she cope when Rod needs a stand-in and she's promoted to top of the candidate list?
