Magic Unchained

A Novel of the Nightkeepers, Final Prophecy

Up until now, Sven has mostly seemed footloose and feckless, unconcerned with people’s feelings and only out for number one. Cara is the easy one to like, stubborn and trying to hide how much Sven and her dad have hurt her over the years. But Ms. Andersen takes us to the heart of what really has driven Sven over the years and how much of it was out of his control. Both of them want so badly to be done with their mission and leave, to be accountable to no one but themselves. To watch them move closer to each other and yet still waiting to get hurt was so painfully sweet. Rabbit is still so lost and I couldn’t be happier that the next book is all him. I have always liked him. This is another fabulous addition to the Nightkeeper series: full of Aztec magic, gods and demons, action and intense attraction. One of the best things, in my humble opinion, is that the Nightkeepers don’t have all the answers. They are regular people with magic who are doing their utmost to keep the world from ending. I never know how things are going to go and there was double the surprise at the end of Magic Unchained. I can’t wait to see how the ramifications play out in Spellfire coming in November.

Book seven in the amazing Nightkeepers series picks up where Storm Kissed left off. Time is running out; the End Time is rapidly approaching and they don’t know how they are going to pull off saving the world. But quitting is not an option no matter how bleak things look. When Jox left to go into hiding with the twin sons of one of the Nightkeeper couples he left Cara in charge of the winnikin; the rebellious ones who don’t want to serve and the traditional ones who don’t want a young inexperienced woman in charge. She has to walk a fine line with them while avoiding her father as much as possible. Then Sven comes back to the compound and things get that much more difficult. Raised together, she always had a soft spot for him and he has always wanted her. Driven apart by her father and Sven’s wanderlust, they never acted on their attraction except for one kiss. Now, thrown together by king and desire, they start an affair. Will their attraction blind them to the traitor in their midst until it is too late?

Book Blurb for Magic Unchained

Cara Liu is determined to unite the forces under her leadership but when Nightkeeper Sven enters the scene, Cara has trouble separating her duty to her people from her desire for her ex-lover. Their secret affair will not only jeopardize a tenuous alliance among the Nightkeepers, but it also distracts them from a danger within their own ranks planning a vicious betrayal...
