I read the original Romeo and Juliet in high school and I thought it was a good story. And now we have Romeo and Juliet: a Modern Day Sequel by James Edwards. And I still think it's a good story.
In James Edwards' story, we find Romeo awoke in Hawaii by a volcano. And he finds his self alone. He realizes that his beloved Juliet was not next to him in this afterlife. Romeo meets a Zen master, who teaches him about this day and age.
As Romeo settles in Hawaii and he meets an actress name Emma Gallant on the internet. They start a relationship via e-mails. They express their loved for each other. Romeo thinks he found his beloved Juliet. Could this actress be his long lost love? Or will Romeo ever find his beloved Juliet?
James pens a fascinating story that takes us to ancient Egypt where the pharaohs live and Atlantis. This reviewer would recommend this book to anyone who wants to know if Romeo and Juliet found each other in the afterlife.
Romeo Montague dies for Juliet and his spirit chases her through time. He awakens in this age on a volcano in Hawaii where he meets a wise Zen Master who teaches him about the modern world. Sadly for Romeo though, there is no sign of his beloved wife, Juliet. As the years pass, his memory of Juliet fades. Yet one day, Romeo logs into an Internet chatroom and meets a beautiful young actress by the name of Emilie. For some mysterious reason, both fall in love almost instantly. Romeo slowly comes to realize this intelligent and alluring young woman is his wife, Juliet -- now reincarnated as the famous Hollywood starlet, Emma Gallant. As the two star-crossed lovers recount their past lives in ancient Egypt and Atlantis, they must fight through many obstacles before they can meet again.
