Dear Readers,
Thank you for your invitation to visit you on my blog tour for Desperate Hearts! This is my 59th published novel in over 30 years of writing, and it's a gritty "wild west" story that is at times violent and yet has its humorous moments. Hero Mitch Brady is a Montana vigilante, and he falls for a newcomer to the little gold town of Alder, a young woman from New York City, Elizabeth Wainright. She has come to Alder under mysterious circumstances. Little does Mitch know that the woman he's falling in love with is running from the law, which makes it very difficult for her to trust Mitch or to tell him the truth. He is, after all, a lawman/vigilante, and Montana vigilantes were known for strict justice. Desperate Hearts is, above all, a touching love story about two people who rise above their differences to answer the longing of their hearts.
I have been writing over 30 years, and my first book, Sweet Prairie Paradise (the first of a 7-book series) is still selling on Amazon - better today than when it was first published! Next July my 60th book, Do Not Forsake Me, will be released!
Even with 60 books already written, I still have new ideas already brewing for more! I love writing about American history and especially America's magnificent western landscape. My love for this genre shows through in my writing, and if you look up reader comments on Amazon, you will see how my readers feel this love and how, to them, my characters are very real and memorable. Most of all I enjoy writing great love stories - pioneers and often Native American love stories - tales that show how love holds two people together and gives them the strength to face the tragedies and challenges involved in settling America.
If you visit my web site at www.rosannebittner.com, you can learn about all 60 of my books, and read my many articles about writing at my blog at www.rosannebittner.blogspot.com. You can also find me on Facebook, Twitter, Google, Amazon, Goodreads and many other sites. Thank you so much for inviting me to your blog. I hope you will pick up DESPERATE HEARTS and post your review on Facebook and Amazon. I look forward to hearing from you!
SHE'S A WOMAN WITH A SECRET
Elizabeth Wainwright is on the run. Accused of a murder she didn't commit, she has no choice but to cut ties with her old life and flee West. The last thing she wants is attention, but when her stagecoach is attacked, she suddenly finds herself under the fierce protection of one of Montana's famed vigilantes...whether she likes it or not.
HE'S A MAN WITH A CODE
Lawman Mitch Brady is sworn to uphold justice in the wild lands of 1860's Montana. He's never met a man he's feared, and he's never met a woman more desperately in need of his help. Something's shaken the secretive Elizabeth, but as he gets to know the beautiful city belle, he finds the only thing he wants more than her safety...is her trust.

I live in rural Southwest Lower Michigan, about five minutes from Lake Michigan. My husband Larry and I have been happily married since October 2, 1965. We greaduated from high school together in 1963 but didn't date until after high school. We have both lived in this area all of our lives, and have two sons, three grandsons, three step- grandchildren, and two step great- grandchildren all in the same area. I love living in “small town” America, where people pray and sing hymns and neighbors know their neighbors!
Larry and I are fortunate to be able to travel to most of the locals where I set my books, and we purchased a condo in Las Vegas in 2005. That is our retreat when Southwest Michigan winters get a little too intense, and also provides a "western base" for our travels.
