The Collision

Guardian's Realm, #2

There’s a saying that goes “you should never assume, it just makes an ASS out of U and ME.” This is something that Balin Renforth and Fitch Galloway have to learn. They both make assumptions. They make them about each other and the slave girl, Gladiolas, they get stranded with.

When an illegal vampire pleasure palace is raided by the Guardians, of which Balin is a member, things get hectic. Fitch is there also with the Vampire Secret Service, but he’s been ordered to stand down. He does so until he sees the number one bad guy vampire about to kill Balin. Balin is trying to protect Gladiolas from said bad guy. He intends to use fae magic to just zap the bad guy into unconsciousness. Instead he zaps himself, Gladiolas and Fitch to an ancient enchanted castle.

While stranded in the castle the three come to realize there is a special connection between them. A connection that could last them an immortal lifetime, if they can get past their assumptions and pre-conceived notions. As they acknowledge this connection, things begin to heat up between the three, emotionally and sexually.

Ms. Kauffman elegantly demonstrates what happens when we make assumptions in this wonderful novel. The characters are all well rounded and likeable. They have their faults but also have plenty of things to like about them. She also clearly shows that love comes in many forms and that all of them are right. It’s just our own preconceived notions that prevent us from opening our hearts and accepting the love that’s all around us.

Special Notes: This is an erotic novel and contains scenes of explicit sexual experiences, including same sex situations. It shouldn’t be read by anyone under 18 and should not be read by anyone who has issues with same sex relationships.

Book Blurb for The Collision

Balin Renforth has served the Guardians loyally for six hundred years, protecting innocents from vampire scum like Fitch Galloway. But he cannot deny the nagging familiarity Fitch inspires, any more than he can deny the irresistible curiosity stirred by the other man.

Fitch Galloway recognizes Balin immediately, though he never knew of the man’s ties to the magical Ancient Fae which gave him the powers he used to transport them to the outer limits. The Guardian has clearly grown a stick up his ass, yet Fitch cannot deny that saving him more than six hundred years ago was the best thing he ever did, and Balin has become an honorable man he cannot help but feel proud of. But that's not the only feeling the handsome Guardian stirs in Fitch...

Or in Gladiolas. If it weren’t for her painful addiction, freed Palace slave Gladiolas would think she’d died and gone to heaven. Finding herself in a remote castle prison with two drop-dead sexy men is like a dream come true. They’re both so fiercely protective it feels like she is no longer slave, but master. Now if only she can get them to stop fighting, and start loving...
