Highland Betrayal

The Sons of Gregor MacLeod, #3

I really enjoyed this lovely highland romance from Alyson McLayne.

Callum and Maggie had incredible problems to overcome before they could have their happy ever after. Between the greedy traitors in their midst and the hard feelings and misunderstandings these two love birds had a horrible time of it. The author did a fantastic job with the rich plot, the adventure and passion, the suspenseful thread about who exactly is behind all the mischief, and the lovely characters that made me love them.

I can't wait to read the next book in this series. I'm hopeful that it will be about Gavin as he had hooked my interest from book one. I can't imagine how emotional his story is bound to be. So for historical romance readers this series, The Sons of Gregor MacLeod, is one not to be missed. Alyson McLayne's writing is simply fabulous!

"Witty banter, adventure and passion!"—ELIZA KNIGHT, USA Today bestselling author

A betrothal. A betrayal. A love threatened by treachery.

Laird Callum MacLean vowed to marry Maggie MacDonnell. But when his father's apparent suicide makes him Laird of his clan, Callum must unmask his father's killer before bringing Maggie into his dangerous new home.

Maggie's home isn't any safer. When Callum fails to return, Maggie does what any resourceful Highland lass would do. She escapes—and finds herself toe-to-toe with Callum, who's determined to fulfill his promise. Maggie can't bring herself to trust him with her heart again. But with a traitor still at large, they must rely on each other in every way, or their clans—and their love—will be destroyed.
