Frank, Incense, and Muriel

Muriel Reeves Mystery Series, #1

Frankie Salerno and Muriel Reeves were childhood classmates and seemed to get along fairly well back then. Now as an adult, Frankie is a private investigator hired by his client, Jack Salerno, to find a missing person named Rachel Queen. She’s his brother Dean’s personal assistant and now fiancée. But the odd thing is she went missing and she left no evidence behind of where she could have gone or even why she just left without telling anyone. Jack has a funny feeling that although Dean really loves Rachel, the feelings aren’t mutual and she’s only after his money. So to get to the bottom of the mystery, he hires Frankie and asks him to recruit Muriel in his investigation because he doesn’t completely trust Frankie on this case.

Muriel is surprised that Frankie has come to ask for her help in finding a missing person because she hasn’t seen him in 15 years. Once she speaks to Jack and finds out that he doesn’t trust Frankie completely because Rachel and he dated in high school, Muriel feels bad and wants to help her friend Jack out so she decides to assist in this investigation even though she’s skeptical herself.

As the case begins to unravel, there are so many twists and turns that happen to Frankie and Muriel and because of this, they start getting closer to one another. But the question is can they find Rachel before someone kills her? Could this be the catalyst to bring Frankie and Muriel together finally after all these years?

I must say that this is one of the best romantic suspense stories I’ve read for 2010. Ms. Albert has a way of telling a story that pulls you in from the very first sentence and holds your attention to the very last line. Her voice is melodic and her writing style is refreshing. This author knows how to entertain her readers and keeps them wanting to turn the page to see what happens next. If you’re looking for a story with a little bit of humor, a whole lot of suspense and plenty of insanity, then you’ve found the perfect story. I’m highly recommending this story to other readers and I’m definitely adding this book to my library. You won’t be disappointed buying this book or others penned by this author. Great job, Ms. Albert! Keep the stories coming!
